ANDY C

Greetings fellow bloggers!

Been thinking of writing about ANDY C for a while and that time has arrived!

Many words have been written about the importance he had on the recognition of Jungle and Drum and Bass as we know it today but it´s always time to pay respect for an incredible artist and DJ who has been building an impressive career over the last 20 years.

As quoted on his Resident Advisor artist page:

"At the age of 15, together with Ant Miles, Andy created magnum opus, "Valley of the Shadows (31 Seconds)" under their Origin Unknown alias, Often referred to as the "darkcore prototype", the track won Best Harcore Tune at 1993 Hardcore Dance Awards where Andy also collected the prize for Best Newcomer."

The label adventure starts in 1992, with a budget of £1000. RAM Records is established and since then, several all-time classics have been released in the shape of flying saucers, also known as vinyls. He extensively worked together with the likes of Randall, Shimon and Moving Fusion, creating the hardcore of the RAM Records sound.

Alongside the early foundations in producing his tracks, Andy C has also become a world-class DJ.
Personally having had the opportunity to have seen him playing live, combining in perfection the track selection with the mixing skills on the decks, I must say that it was a life-changing event...hats off to the Guru!

No surprise he was awarded the "World´s Best Drum and Bass DJ" title many times.

This is a true example of his priceless contribution for the scene:
